Suzanne Sylvester Photography

Most little girls gravitated to dolls and tea sets growing up, while horses and everything about them pulled me in. The breed of horse did not matter to me, I was completely captivated by their soft inquisitive eyes and velvety soft muzzles. My world revolved around horses and they continue to enthrall me to this day. Immersing myself in everything horse for most of my life has given me the unique ability to capture the magic of horses and the special relationships they have with their people, both in the arena and in the quiet personal moments.

While I still show horses, and have become an internationally published photographer, the thrill and excitement of the simple act of photographing horses and their people still enthralls me.

What to Expect

The first step is to decide what type of images you want. Are they portraits of you? Your horse? Other pets? Sale photos? Knowing what type of images you are looking for will help us determine what the best session for you will be.
Sessions can be just about anywhere; your home, a favorite park, your horse’s home, our studio or a combination of these. While we have some great locations we can use, you may know a spot that is special to you and that would work perfectly.
Once your session is over, we will get to work applying our “magic” to your images. Upon completing the editing process, (usually a couple of weeks,) you will receive an email or phone call to set up your viewing/ordering session (for portraits), or with instructions for downloading your images (for sale horse/stallion sessions). We understand that some images may need a quick turn-around for advertising purposes, please let us know if this is the case, so we can work with you.
The big reveal, also known as your viewing and ordering session is when we will show you the best images from your session. During the viewing session, we will go through your images together and you will be able to view product samples to help you best decide what to order. Having a list of what you need ad wall measurements where you would like to display your portraits will help your ordering session go smoothly.

Why Choose S. Sylvester Photography?

Quality and Expertise
Quality should be the first requirement, because a reshoot can be costly in time and other resources. Our high level of technical expertise, proper understanding and use of light and shadows, beautiful compositions, and outstanding editing allows us to consistently produce quality images.

Vision and Style
Finding a photographer that has a style that you are drawn to is almost as important as quality and expertise. A photographer can produce top quality images but if you don’t like their style, then it is doubtful that you will love your images. Be sure to choose a photographer whose portfolio reflects not only what you are looking for, but also shows consistency without a changing style.
Scheduling
Remember to schedule as far in advance as possible. If you are not in our immediate area, we can possibly get you scheduled near one of our horse shows. Please call to discuss your scheduling needs.
