Hi! I’m Suzanne Sylvester, the creative eye and passionate storyteller behind S. Sylvester Photography — where the heart’s connection with animals becomes timeless art. Based in Weatherford, Texas, I specialize in capturing the spirit, beauty, and emotion of horses, dogs, and their people through photography.
My journey with the camera is driven by a lifelong love for animals and the incredible relationships we share with them. I believe every horse that holds a piece of our heart, every dog brimming with personality, and every tender moment between a pet and their owner deserves to be remembered forever — and that’s exactly what I strive to deliver in every image.
I currently have several dogs, horses, mini donkeys and a highland cow. They each enrich my life in ways beyond words.
Whether I’m at a horse show, on a ranch, in a scenic outdoor setting, or working one-on-one with clients, my goal is always the same: create striking, emotional photographs that feel true and unforgettable. My warm, patient approach helps both animals and their humans feel relaxed and confident in front of the lens.
I have extensive experience as one of the nation’s premier sale horse photographers, using my understanding of equine conformation, lighting, and angles to showcase each athlete in its best light. I photograph about 600 sale horses a year, and am trusted by many large ranches to capture their horses in the best possible way.
